Melissa Roumanis

Melissa Roumanis is a post-secondary instructor with Canadian and US Certifications in Athletic Therapy and Massage Therapy. She received her Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Exercise Science and did her thesis project on the relationship between chronic pain and sleep. She has a combined eleven years of experience teaching Athletic Therapy students at Sheridan College, Concordia University and is currently teaching at Camosun College.
In addition to her teaching, she has eleven years of hands-on experience with a strong exercise-based treatment approach and a thorough understanding of functional anatomy and body mechanics.
Melissa is passionate about blending the worlds of research and education during treatments. She is committed to furthering students’ knowledge about health, fitness and performance movement through continuing education, mentoring young professionals and community involvement.
